Snack Time

We have a Healthy Eating Policy at Playmates and we make our snack times a healthy experience. We would like to ask all our parents to support us by making your child's snack is as healthy as possible. 
For example, fruit, peppers, cucumber, vegetables, crackers, bread, such as pitta, fruit and naan, cheese, meat and healthy spreads.

 

We do not use biscuits, chocolate or nuts.

 

We have a rolling snack bar system where the children can access their snack over a period of approximately 30 minutes, after this time if they have not had their snack, they are called over to use the snack bar. 

 

In addition to the snack, children will be offered a choice of milk or water to drink, and will be encouraged in pouring their own drink.

 

The above are just a few ideas, so do feel free to use your imagination and do include cultured foods and fruit.
