Welcome to Playmates Pre-school.
We are a small, friendly and nurturing preschool that has been running since 1987 in a beautiful local community hall given to the people of Roffey in 1904.
We take children from 2 years old and are fully inclusive to the individual needs of every child.
Our staff are all trained to Level 3 and above and all staff are First Aid trained. We work to the ratio of 1 adult to 4 two year old's and 1 adult to 8 three/four year old's. 
We have sole use of the hall during session times and the building and grounds are secure. Our learning environment is bright and our many and varied resources provide our children with diverse opportunities to learn through play. Children are provided with an array of opportunities to enhance their learning and knowledge of the world whilst gaining the essential social skills to support their transition to mainstream school.
We have an stimulating outside area that has a large climbing frame with a slide and climbing wall, an enclosed (all weather) sand house, an outside classroom, a bug hotel, raised beds for planting and a rich selection of additional resources.
We offer settling in sessions that are right for you and your child as we truly believe this first transition is so important and we ensure this process is right for your child.
We do not charge a registration fee at enrolment.
We do have a uniform but this is not compulsory and we do provide the opportunity for you to purchase a book bag and be included in our daily book exchange system.
Every month we hold coffee mornings, free of charge, to allow our parents to come together and form new friendship groups.
We have a Password System in place to ensure complete safety to your child.
Children are required to bring their own lunch and snack as we do not have catering facilities. Staff sit with children at both snack and lunchtime to support every child's needs.
We hold a Nativity every year and Sports Day and Christmas parties, when even Santa makes a visit, and of course parties every year especially for the children we are sending on their way to 'Big School', we also take outings to the local woods with parents which is always enjoyed by everyone, we also take the children to the local shops and park. When leaving the building we always use a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children.
We except all forms of government funding including, 2 year entitlement, 2 year old working parents entitlement. Universal entitlement (3/4 years) and 30 hour working parents entitlement, we also except Childcare Vouchers and private fees.
We would like you to know that the staff are here for you and your children. Playmates staff would like you to feel comfortable in approaching us with all your requirements and wishes, to enable us to meet your needs every time.
